Introduction to the College:
Ramjas College is one of the oldest colleges of Delhi. It was founded in 1917 by the great educationist and philanthropist, Rai Kedar Nath. Beginning from the humble precincts of Darya Ganj in Old Delhi, the College today boasts of a spacious campus, state-of-the-art infrastructure and an esteemed faculty of scholars trained at leading universities in India and abroad.
The institution believes in holistic education that goes beyond achieving academic excellence, and vocational training. The philosophy is to realize the overall intellectual, creative, cultural and socio-political growth and development of both the students and the college community in its entirety. The College invites all students irrespective of gender, caste, religion and physical challenges to make us a rich and varied community.

There are a wide range of courses, extra-curricular activities and technologically advanced facilities accessible to the faculty, the students and the support staff.
Location:
This college is located in University Enclave on the campus of the University of Delhi.
Facilities:
The college has a large and attractive campus and is backed by the latest in modern technology. Ramjas College also boasts of a large library with an online cataloguing system that provides access to library resources worldwide. The College has a state-of-the-art Seminar Room with multi-media facilities and LCD project systems that encourage and support research initiatives and presentations amongst the students and the faculty. There is also a First-Aid room with facilities for immediate medical attention. Ramjas College encourages sports and has facilities for athletics, cricket, basketball, volleyball, table tennis, etc.
The College has built a specially designed Student Activity Centre where the students of the College can congregate to conduct meetings, discussions and functions regarding academic, cultural, political and other creative activities and also conduct the business of clubs and societies. The extra curricular activities committee (ECAC) has a dedicated area within the Centre for the conduct of its activities. The Centre has an LCD projection system, besides a professional quality hi-fi sound system.
Student societies:
Ramjas college also focuses on co-curricular activities. There are specific zones formed by the authorities of Ramjas College to emphasize on various aspects. The women development cell, students' union, Student Information and Management System, support services, clubs, gender forum, student counselor, student activity center and various societies of Ramjas College encourage students to participate in different areas other than academics.

The placement cell strives to bring together prospective employers and job seekers in an attempt to secure for its students a wide array of employment opportunities in the fields of Finance, HR, Sales, Marketing, Entertainment, Media, Business & Knowledge Processing organizations and Creative Arts. It also encourage students to take up summer internships to learn and understand the way the actual business and trading are carried out.
Summer internships are arranged with Banks, Financial Institutes, Public sector organizations, IT sector, Corporate houses, Media /Entertainment, Research Institutions and NGOs.
The Placement Cell also organizes Career talks and interaction with leading personalities from various fields - Business, Arts, Media and Governments throughout the year to expose students to various opportunities that exist for them in the business environment and thereby help them choose the right career path.
